Glyn Jones is married and has 4 children, aged 30, 27, 25 and 23 he began his teaching career at Thorpe Bay High School in Southend on Sea in 1982. He spent 3 years at the school before moving to St Martin's at the end of 1985. Glyn spent the next 15 years at St Martin's and in 1993 Dean joined the school.
Throughout this time Glyn worked on many camps across the South East and into London, working on Football Camps and eventually Multi Activity camps. He also spent 3 months in America as Head of Tennis at Cedar Lake Camp, PA. In 1996 Glyn and Dean ventured into Multi Activity with Sports Stars Summer Camps and the company has thrived in Brentwood over the past 22 years.
In 2000 Glyn moved to Wales to take up the post of Head of Curriculum Enrichment. He is currently still at St Christopher's as Assistant Head Teacher.
Dean is married and joined the school in 1993 and soon became Head of Year before stepping into Glyn's shoes in 2000. He remained as Head of P.E. for 4 years before handing over to Paul Larner. Dean became Assistant Headteacher at St Martin's and is currently Deputy Headteacher. Our Staff are drawn from St Martin's ex and some current pupils. All are known to Glyn, Dean or Paul, we have known them and their families for many years. We never advertise for our Staff. Many of our current Staff are teachers themselves in Essex and further afield, but we also have a Solicitor, Police Officer, Physiotherapist, Computer Analyst and other forms of employment as part of our team, all come back to offer their services year on year. We even now employ several Staff who joined us in our initial years as original campers.
We believe our service is second to none and pride ourselves on our friendly Staff who get to know the children very well.
All camps are fully insured and included in the cost. A copy of our policy is available in reception.
We always have a First Aider on site and a member of Staff who is familiar with epipen procedures.
Children with Special Needs can be catered for but please contact Glyn to discuss individual needs
